Vacancy for Parish Councillor

A vacany has arisen on Welburn Parish Council following the resignation of Councillor Duncan. 

 

After following due process, there is no requirement to hold an election for this vacancy therefore the Parish Council is now in the position to co-opt a new Councillor.

If you would like to volunteer to fill this vacancy, please email welburnpc@outlook.com with a short description of why you want to join the Parish Council and what skills you would bring with you.

In order to be eligible, you must:

​

- be 18 years old or over; and

- be an elector for the parish; or

- have resided in the parish for the past twelve months or rented/tenanted land in the parish; or

- have your principal place of work in the parish; or

- have lived within three miles (direct) of the parish.

​

and not disqualified from being a councillor by virtue of section 80 of the Local Government Act 1972.

All applications must be received by midnight on the 30th June 2023.
